The focus in my practice is on helping people who are facing a variety of challenges in their lives. Help is available for parenting at all ages (newborns - adult children), launching into young adulthood, midlife transitions, living with chronic or life threatening illness, aging, grief and loss. For close to twenty years I have worked in Westchester County as a social worker and psychoanalyst. My experience has helped me build strong relationships with colleagues throughout the area and I'm familiar with a variety of excellent resources.
There are particular moments in life when turbulence happens. Major life transitions, such as becoming a parent, leaving home as a young adult, or divorce, are events that may cause you to reconsider your values and set new goals. Events that happen as we age , such as health concerns and loss, offer chances to re-adjust priorities.
