Evans Counseling & Consultation, PLLC, is focused on providing individualized service and satisfaction. As your therapist, my hope is to meet your expectations as you seek to have your needs resolved through counseling. My goal is to build an alliance with you that promotes your dignity and respect while preserving your trust. Deeply rooted in faith and spirituality, I relate to my clients with genuine caring, sensitivity, and a keen listening ear. These basic principles will create a strong foundation to ensure your comfort and emotional safety, as I assist you on your journey toward healing and return to optimal living.
I assess your symptoms, coping skills, stress outlets, support systems, and inner strengths to get a base line of your current functioning. I determine what techniques might work best for you so we can devise a treatment plan. I primarily use relaxation techniques which include breathing exercises, guided imagery, and Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR).
Symptoms of anxiety and depression can become overwhelming to a point where it's hard to believe you can get better. Having support to devise a plan you can follow is the first step. The symptoms don't last forever with the help of a consistent treatment team of the best providers. Feel free to reach out and see if I would be a good fit for your team.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
