I am passionate about working with young children and their families who are experiencing challenges with academics, parenting, separation and divorce, as well as regulatory and behavioral issues. I provide psychological, developmental, and admissions testing. I also conduct play therapy, family therapy, parent guidance, divorce mediation, as well as school consultations. Early intervention and prevention as well as parental involvement is essential and paramount for optimal and favorable treatment outcomes.
I have specialized training in the areas of Infant Mental Health and Maternal Mental Health. I obtained my doctoral degree from The George Washington University, completed a predoctoral internship at Tulane University School of Medicine, and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Virginia Department of Psyciatric Medicine.
I have had opportunities to provide expert opinion on development, parenting/discipline, and coping on News Channel 8, News Channel 4, and NPR. I have an alternative perspective/approach in treating many mental health symptoms. I aim to help my patients reach an internal balance to better cope with life's calamities and obstacles.
