My experience as a counselor includes working with adolescents, adults, and couples in areas of transition, crises, personal growth and development, divorce, strengthening relationships, communicating more effectively, weight and eating issues, anxiety, blended family structures, identity crises, depression, women issues, sexual dysfunction, grief, and gender issues.
I have experience in utilizing several research-based theories of counseling, including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Transtheoretical Model of Behavioral Change, Client-centered, and Existential. I have experience with couples counseling as well as individual therapy.
I have facilitated change in behaviors in people with conditions including but not limited to eating disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Conduct Disorder, mental and learning disabilities, and Bipolar Disorder.
