Since 2005, I have worked with adult women around issues of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, emotional eating, family of origin issues, LGBTQ issues including coming out later in life, trauma resolution and more. Major life transitions such as loss, grieving, the aging process, chronic pain and chronic illness are additional areas of focus in my work. My therapeutic approaches include psychodynamic (insight-oriented), somatic (body-based) and feminist theory. My expertise includes meditation and mindfulness, EFT Tapping (acupressure), Progressive Counting, and Hypnosis as well as other somatic, body-based distress resolution skills.
The research is in. Effective, truly life-changing therapy requires body-based, somatic and sensory approaches in addition to to traditional, insight-oriented talk therapy. I encourage you to explore the many somatic therapies available and to select a therapist with training in one or more of these. Because therapy can be (and should be) life-changing.

It's also not unusual for women to delay coming out as lesbian, gay, bi, queer, pan, curious, questioning or 'No labels, please!' due to social, religious and family pressures. This is a safe, intimate space (now online & back in person) that allows you to be curious at your own pace, get comfortable in your own skin and begin to explore the meaning of these issues for you. EFT Tapping is a form of self-applied acupressure that can be used to reduce anxiety, process distress, enhance performance and more. This Group is an Introduction to EFT Tapping as well as an opportunity to practice your Tapping skills with others in a Group format. Our meetings often include some brief education, demonstrations, group tapping and/or tapping in pairs, all depending on what the group requests that day.
