Therapy offers a unique relationship in which an individual or family is able to gain support and insight to create positive and healthy changes. I feel humbled by the privilege to work with those who are motivated to seek opportunities to heal and grow. While I have a specialization in the treatment of children/adolescents and families, I enjoy working with a diverse population of clients. My utilization of a person-centered approach allows for each therapeutic relationship to be tailored to an individual, addressing issues and stressors as defined while developing a trusting and empathic partnership.
When working with individual clients, my approach is solution-focused and goal oriented, supporting clients to identify and utilize their personal strengths to create healthy and sustained change.
Family therapy offers a different approach than traditional individual treatment. As a family therapist, I take a relationship perspective and focus treatment on developing an understanding of an individuals behavior within the family network and identify and utilize the strengths of the family system to create change.
