I am a practical consultant for getting movement towards the life you want. I have enjoyed being a practicing psychotherapist for over 25 years having worked with thousands of clients. This experience enables me to quickly clarify issues and help you develop a plan to have the life you want. Being gentle and simultaneously direct is my forte so I will use your time effectively. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a primary intervention with other approaches woven in as needed. I do not take myself too seriously and laughter is an essential therapeutic ingredient.
I enjoy couples work. I specialize in all addictive behaviors, substances, gambling, sex, and eating. Anxiety, anger management, and grief are issues in which I am helpful. Nearly any area of life where you recognize that you keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
I am a well-read nature enthusiast who has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2179 miles). I incorporate an attitude of reverence towards the growth process that is similar to attending the cathedral of the forest. Sometimes there are thunderstorms and sometimes cool breezes.
