Greetings! In my work as a psychotherapist, I stand along side individuals who are struggling with anxiety spectrum disorders (including trauma-related disorders), mood disorders, difficulty with regulating emotion and/or tolerating distress, marital or relationship concerns, disordered eating, infertility, and chronic health issues. I believe the therapy relationship is a critical part of healing, which is supported by years of research. You can expect me to work with you in developing approaches to healing that fit your needs, comfort level and strengths.
I have a strong interest in recovery from trauma in its many forms, including physical or sexual trauma, developmental trauma, and other interpersonal trauma. I have acquired extensive training and experience in the treatment of trauma, particularly through Certification in Level 1 and 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (see below).
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is an approach that incorporates mindful engagement with the experience of the body to help clients more fully integrate the benefits of traditional talk therapy. Please note: Sensorimotor Psychotherapy does not involve touch.
