I specialize in helping children and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD or other behavioral or emotional concerns as well as family therapy, parenting guidance and couples counseling. My role as a therapist is to be a guide in assisting you with determining natural resources and further educate other strategies to help you with the change you want in your life. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings in the past 25 years and in outpatient/private practice for the past 13 years.
I am a registered play therapist. Play therapy can be powerful with helping children overcome concerning behaviors since play is a child's natural language. I also implement play therapy with teenagers and adults and with family therapy.
I am also trained in a treatment modaility called EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is a technique that can help individuals overcome trauma. My philosophy of therapy is to be a guide in assisting adults, children, families or couples with gaining skills needed to make changes in life.
