I take a person-centered approach to counseling, while utilizing tools from many other types of therapies. I feel it is important to get to the root of an issue by figuring out where it began, process through it to find healing and acceptance, and then use tools and techniques to make specific changes in thoughts and behaviors. I believe setting goals helps to track progress and can be a great motivator. I see counseling as a holistic process and integrate spiritual, physical, & mental aspects into the process, as you feel comfortable.
My areas of interests are wide, but I am especially interested in working with individuals struggling with depression/anxiety as well as family issues or life transitions. My work includes couples, teen and adults with anxiety and fears, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, relationship issues, divorce & spiritual and health concerns.
I am an Associate Certified Life Coach and Certified Natural Health Professional. I practice Integrative/Alternative Mental Health. I have experience in Expressive Art Therapy and utilizes that to facilitate psychological treatment; specifically to promote healing, self-awareness and personal development.
