Anchored in a humanistic approach that places an emphasis on the innate drive we all have to move toward healing and wholeness, my goal is to cultivate a very caring and safe emotional space for you to address the pain that brought you to therapy by meeting you where you are with empathy and understanding.. I will help you to uncover the underlying causes of painful feelings, helping you to shift from reactive patterns of behavior to greater self awareness. I have close to 30 years of experience, and I continue to be committed to learning and training in the modalities that I have found most effective for emotional healing.
I am trained in modalities that I continue my ongoing professional growth in: AEDP in my work with individuals, EFT for couples, and EMDR for trauma. I also integrate IFS (internal family systems) theory in all the work that I do. We will clarify together your particular needs in therapy based on what your personal goals are in our work together.
I am deeply grateful to be able to do this work and to be trained in what I believe are highly effective therapies for people who are suffering. I look forward to meeting each new person that I have the privilege to work with. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important one, and I have been very fortunate to make this my life's work.
