I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and I enjoy helping clients maximize their potential in all areas of life. I use a strength-based model to assist my clients to move forward with their lives, helping heal from trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, compassion fatigue, and life transitions. I've worked with clients who have dealt with relationship issues, sexuality concerns, school/work issues, and chronic health problems.
I take a holistic view of human beings. I believe there are many factors influencing our feelings and behaviors. In my practice I use cognitive behavioral techniques as well as mindfulness and relaxation to help clients manage uncomfortable symptoms in order to feel better.
I have extensive experience working with children and their families, young adults, and older adults in the community counseling setting. I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I am excited to continue my work in private practice.
