I help with life issues and personal growth. I provide Psychological Life Coaching based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) ACT is an evidenced based, usually brief form of therapy which focuses on the inherent strengths you already have. I offer a very reasonable sliding scale fee schedule and weekday, evening and weekend appointments are available. I am dedicated to providing high quality therapy for any one who wants it. THERE WILL BE A LIMITED NUMBER OF OPENINGS FOR THE NEW YEAR. Emails are the preferred method of initial contact. All inquiries will be answered.
The therapeutic process is one of mindfulness, helping to identifying values and behaviors which give meaning to your life. The work is collaborative and clients define the goals of therapy based on their values. I avoid diagnosis in favor of addressing the actual life issues as they are individually experienced.
My 30 year background as a researcher, University Professor and clinician helps me to identify and use only those clinical techniques which have been scientifically shown to be effective.I am currently an Adjunct Professor, teaching part time in the Psychology Department at Southern Oregon University.
