Therapy can be a daunting task. It is my goal to help you address the issues you are seeking help for and give you real life techniques to use in your therapeutic process. I tend toward cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapies but recognize that everyone is unique and may require different approaches. I have significant experience working with emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children, abused children/adolescents and adult survivors of trauma. I tend to view therapy as a process. I believe it is important to meet people where they are so they can fully embrace the changes they seek to make.
Trauma can have long reaching and life long effects if left untreated. Resolving traumatic events can be very stressful and scary. Because of the experience I have working with trauma survivors, I consider it a privilege to walk with someone on a journey that transitions someone from survivor to thriving.
