Hello. If you are on this site, it is likely things are not going well for your child at school, at home or with friends. You're worried, frustrated and possibly angry. When our children suffer, parents want to make it better. Sometimes, it can feel overwhelming. There is hope and there is help. I am a clinical psychologist specializing in work with children. I have extensive experience addressing the developmental, behavioral and emotional needs of children in diagnostic, school and family settings.
In my practice I utilize play-based and traditional cognitive behavioral strategies to help young people build skills to communicate, cope and problem solve. My treatment philosophy places high value on collaborating with caretakers as partners in facilitating change and development.
If you have concerns, please contact me to see if therapy can help. As a preview of my approach, here is a favorite quote: "If you want your children to improve, let them overhear the nice things you say about them to others." Haim Ginott
