I focus less on the past and more on the present using cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) designed for symptom relief and changes of unhealthy patterns. I will help you identify goals, cope with feelings and symptoms, and change behavior patterns that have resulted in your internal emotional distress and external stressors.
This will be accomplished by guiding you to a greater understanding of your illness and issues; helping you to develop coping strategies for the stress/trauma in your life; overcoming your fears and insecurities; improving your relationships; ending destructive habits/addictions and managing life's challenging transitions.
