As a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization) Therapist I work primarily with people age 18 on seeking help resolving trauma or overcoming anxiety, phobias and performance anxiety. I also address depression and complicated grief utilizing a holistic approch to the wellness of mind, body, and spirit. Modalities are tailored to individual needs, perceptions, and goals and can include various approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ego state work, mindfulness, guided imagery and meditation.
EMDR is is a method of psychotherapy proven effective for the treatment of trauma. When distressing events are experienced or witnessed, the brain may not process the information as it does ordinarily. It can become " frozen in time". EMDR assists the brain in resuming normal processing. Symptoms are relieved.
I have been providing individual and couples' counseling in the Wyoming Valley and Wilkes-Barre Area for 23 years and am currently located in the Cross Valley Medical Building on S.
