I believe childhood should be a carefree time for play, growth, learning and development. Unfortunately for many children that is not the case. Anxiety, depression, grief, sexual abuse or other trauma can make childhood a difficult and scary time for my clients (and their parents). My goal is to gently and carefully help children and their parents resolve the concerns that are keeping them from all the happiness, safety, and peace they deserve.
I specialize in working with children ages 3-12 through play therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy for many issues including (but not limited to): sexual abuse, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression. I also work with adolescents ages 13-17 and young adults ages 18-25.
Children are resilient. I love working with children and their parents, witnessing the positive changes that are made as families work together to overcome the trials and challenges they face. I am very grateful to have a job I truly love.
