As a licensed mental health counselor, I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families, I am bilingual and can work with Spanish speaking individuals. As a Latina and a native New Mexican I have a deep understanding of multicultural counseling. People, seeking caring and compassionate therapeutic services, explore various issues in a safe environment. A trusting therapeutic relationship provides the client with a place to heal current and past issues. This empowers them to live with balance and find a sense of inner well-being. I believe in providing a genuine, caring, heart-felt, trusting, relationship, with each person.
Specializing in trauma, couples and postpartum depression/anxiety I use various modalities in therapy to address the whole person- spiritually, physically and emotionally. I work with each person and their unique journey in therapy in healing their issues by utilizing modalities, such as EMDR, trauma-sensitive yoga tools, somatic techniques, mindfulness & others.
I also work to achieve increasing self-awareness, empowerment and discovering one's own meaning in life. I believe that each individual has the ability to truly live the life they desire, where their past and problems do not define them, but their courage to heal helps them become who they truly are.
