As a psychologist I specialize in helping clients when life is difficult. I work with a wide age range from children to older adults. Whether it's Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, relationship conflicts or family problems, work/school issues, confidence issues, or drug/alcohol problems, etc., I will assist you to make positive changes and help you to take control over the things you can. I will teach you to take better control over your thoughts, feelings and behaviors by helping you to understand how certain negative thought patterns influence your emotions and relationships in your life. Your thoughts influence your feelings and actions more then you think. Too often they interfere with making positive changes.
I use motivational approaches that help promote change. I will also collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and family members as needed in order to make your treatment experience as successful as possible. Because treatment should be a collaborative effort, you will be encouraged to set realistic but challenging goals that we will review periodically.
