After a 25 year career in a major hospital I am very happy with a small sliding scale practice in my home office. I specialize in working with artists, creatives, college students, LBGTQ+ persons, and others who live non-traditional lives. I have a straight-forward, solution-focused, non-judgmental, and supportive approach, incorporating humor and irreverence when indicated. Therapy does not have to be a sullen place to focus on one’s negatives. Nor does it have to be long-term and costly. Join me in an engaged, interactive, lively journey toward your goals.
I strive to foster a lively, inspiring space in which you can express all sides of yourself while transcending your challenges. Through the use of dynamic- and mindfulness-based approaches, I can help you move forward, beyond painful and self-defeating patterns of the past: to move on from the unsatisfying relationship or the job that is driving you crazy.
I have 30 years of experience in successfully addressing depression, anxiety, sexual and relationship issues, and trauma. I also specialize in addictions, HIV, self-esteem, body-image, and loss and grief. I have a flexible and private home-based practice in a residential area of Harlem.
