As a clinical psychologist, I work to help individuals and families overcome their obstacles to achieving emotional and physical well- being.. Your anxiety and depression or other psychological problems are treated in the context of an empathic and personal therapeutic relationship.These disorders present differently at different life stages and need age/stage related attention. As a female clinician, I have developed an expertise working with women's issues throughout the life cycle. As a former teacher and school psychologist, I am also experienced in working with children and adolescents with the variety of concerns they may present.
As women we experience unique challenges beginning with our earliest family and school interactions. In combination with our genetics and developmental stages, these can lead to anxiety, depression, behavioral, and identity issues. Talking in a therapeutic professional relationship can reduce emotional damage and facilitate healthier choices and greater well-being.
As a former teacher and school psychologist, I am aware of the extent to which school and peer pressures can challenge youth's developing personalities.
