I have been privileged to work with clients in a variety of settings including schools, employee assistance programs, partial hospital programs as well as private practice. I enjoy working with tweens, adolescents, adults, including elders, couples and families. Most commonly clients present issues of depression, anxiety, relationship issues (including bullying), and issues related to trauma, abuse and addiction.
Life presents us all with challenges. I work to understand my client's history and current difficulties within a psychodynamic focus. I work to help clients value themselves and find ways to cope and thrive despite their difficulties. We strive to find and alter those behaviors that are not serving the client well.
I have had advanced training in working with adolescents, couples, depression and anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse. I believe that my varied experiences and work settings contribute to my ability to help my clients.
