I use an empathic warm approach to provide a safe environment for my clients. I know its hard to reach out for help and I make every effort to engage clients in treatment with phone consultations and flexible scheduling. I treat symptoms associated with trauma and stress, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, loss, pain, and addictions for individual, couples and families.
I am an expert in stress and PTSD. I completed an internship and post-doctoral fellowship at VA Medical Centers that both included a focus on Integrative Medicine.
I use mindfulness based approaches to treat PTSD, anxiety and depression. I am also trained in evidenced-based treatments for trauma, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I use a strength-based and family systems view when applicable.
