Art Therapy sessions give your child a space to TRULY be themselves. Whether your child needs a space to process difficult life situations, freedom to be uniquely themselves, or wildly creative, I will offer them a safe and open-minded space to do so. We can learn ways to manage stress, fear, and other challenging emotions that are appropriate for their developmental level. They will have access to a wide variety of art materials and the ability to integrate drumming, play, and other expressive modalities depending on their (and parent supported) therapeutic goals.
I like to meet every client with a new perspective and I don't adhere to the same therapeutic template for everyone. My background includes a Masters degree in Art Therapy, over 1000 hours of study in Yoga, meditation, addiction and recovery coaching, and a deep background in the expressive arts. These can be woven into sessions depending on your goals.
Sometimes there are no words to express what a serious life crisis or challenge can feel like. The arts can help with this. You or your child have unique inner resources to heal and re-embrace life and it is my goal to help you connect with your truth, joy, and give you a space to express what may be holding you back.
