As a child development expert, I provide parent consultation, dyadic assessment, and parent coaching to help adults manage and resolve their children’s behavioral issues. I work closely with caregivers to provide insight into children’s behaviors, developmental needs, and neurobiological processes. I help clients to develop strategies for use at home and school, and my work is always grounded in the latest research from the fields of neurobiology and interpersonal neurobiology. I also consult with school staff on behalf of the children I serve.
Clinically, I treat anxious, angry, or depressed children; those with issues related to giftedness (TAG); and children who have survived trauma and are experiencing resultant attachment disturbances. I am certified in the attachment-based modality Theraplay®. I work closely with primary caregivers, as they are best positioned to deliver meaningful care.
I am skilled in my abilities to support and guide parents as they learn how to help their children heal and thrive. In addition to clinical and coaching services, I provide supervision to post-master’s clinicians seeking licensure, or Registered Play Therapist certification.
