With 30+ years of professional and clinical experience, I value compassion and respect for clients as fundamental tools in accomplishing meaningful changes. I enjoy working with adults, including those intentionally exploring more meaning in their lives. Work together is based on assessments, goals, and a plan of action developed through a shared process. I completed training as an EMDR therapist in 2015 and continue yearly training in EMDR to help clients address past and recent traumas. With 15 years as a mindfulness practitioner and five years teaching meditation, I also include mindfulness in psychotherapy.
I work with issues including anxiety, depression, stress, as well as adult and childhood trauma issues impacting work, relationships and social success. I am sensitive to the impact of racism on people of color. I am an ally to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, inter-sexed, or asexual.
We can compassionately and mindfully deal with challenges we face in life. I offer secured video conferencing sessions thru Doxy.me, as well as FaceTime if necessary.
