Divorce, job loss, chronic illness - these all can cause tremendous distress. Even daily stressors, the ones you think you can handle, can become overwhelming and throw your life and health out of balance. Therapy can help! Therapy can also be highly effective in treating anxiety, depression, and other emotional disorders (and reduce the chance the same problem will return in the future). I have been licensed as a Psychologist (Ph.D.) since 1993 and I am currently in private practice in Buford, Georgia. I offer services for adults and adolescents (18+) using a variety of approaches (primarily cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy).
I also offer psychological testing and assessments. For example, I evaluate patients prior to the implantation of "neurostimulators" (for pain reduction). Additionally, I am very experienced in the assessment and and treatment of individuals who are about to have bariatric or weight loss surgery (and those who have undergone it).
I am committed to providing a caring, nonjudgmental environment and having been raised in a small town, I am sensitive to privacy needs. My office is located in Buford, Georgia and a short drive from much of NE Georgia. However, please note that I am authorized to practice in any of more than 22 psypact state via telepsych, including AL, CO, NC, TX, and VA.
