I am an experienced therapist who finds real joy in helping one person/couple/family at a time regain control of their life, improve their situation, find a better path, or understand who they really are at the deepest levels along with core relationship patterns. I have 37 years of clinical experience and specialized postgraduate training in a variety of approaches.. Trauma is a primary specialty though I am trained to address a range of problems. I want you to feel safe and comfortable when we meet so developing a trusting relationship will be important. My style is interactive; you will decide if I'm a good fit for what you need.
My professional training includes the following areas: psychodynamic psychotherapy, extensive training for trauma-related problems including PTSD, DID, and other dissociative disorders, couple and family therapy training, group therapy training, ego-state therapy, hypnosis, DBT, meditation, interpersonal and cognitive approaches.
In addition to my extensive training and clinical experience, I am frequently consulted by my peers for input on therapies that have gotten stuck or to give a second opinion. If you have tried therapy before without success, don't give up! I'm happy to speak with you by phone for a free 15 minute consultation to help you determine if you want an appointment.

Groups
Women's Trauma Recovery Group
The group is now forming to provide a safe, supportive space for adult female trauma survivors as an adjunct to individual therapy. Members should have achieved some stability and control over trauma-related symptoms and be able to use Stage 1 skills for grounding and stabilization. The group will be an ongoing open-ended process group. The group will help with personal empowerment, isolation, trust issues, boundary issues, sexuality concerns, and other topics that members bring to the group. Potential members must be screened by the group leader.
