I am a spiritually oriented psychologist who has been practicing psychotherapy with individual adults and couples in the Greater Lowell community for over 35 years and am certified as a marriage and family therapist (AAMFT) and pastoral counselor (AAPC) as well as a psychologist. I have practiced contemplative prayer/meditation in the Christian and Buddhist traditions for many years and integrate mind/body/spirit approaches to healing with counseling. Weaving strands from psychology, psychotherapy, and holistic healing continues to be my passion and I welcome persons of all faith persuasions or none.
My therapy approach is relational and seeks to help clients tap greater aliveness and creativity for living fully, identify and claim their strengths, strategize for problem solving and positive change, and build healthy, more fulfilling relationships. This often involves developing courage, self-discipline and serenity in facing life's challenges,
embracing hardship as a path to peace, befriending fears, and discovering hidden blessings in our weaknesses and failings. Through it all, we will look deeply together to find humor amidst life's absurdities, in trusting that joy and happiness are our birthright, and in giving thanks.
