I will assist you in identifying your inner resources and strengths, and to develop them so you can experience more fulfillment, meaning, purpose, and joy in your life. My approach to psychotherapy is proactive and flexible, drawing on a variety of frameworks. It will be tailored to your individual interests and needs, circumstances, and life challenges. We will identify your goals, and I will assist you with working towards them. We will work together creatively and collaboratively in developing personalized solutions. If you'd like, your therapy can include out of session reading or exercises, and may be short or long term.
I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a blend of Eastern philosophy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. DBT offers accessible life skills and tools, with opportunity for significant change. If you have an interest in this approach, we can focus on aspects relevant to your situation. I am also trained in EMDR, Levels I and II (year 2003).
Most recently, I've received training in Integrative Medicine and Nutrition for Mental Health, which may be drawn from to enrich psychological well-being. Together we will work to make a positive impact on the quality of your life and relationships. I look forward to hearing from you!
