I work with individuals, couples and families of various backgrounds, who might require assistance with various mental health and personal concerns, and I offer brief, solution-focused sessions (5-8).
In additionn to counseling clients of various backgrounds, I specialize in working with parenting and divorce-related concerns. I teach a parenting and divorce education class that is mandatory for divorcing parents. I also facilitate groups with children of divorce, ages 6-17 years, using the internationally-famous Sandcastles program.
I speak Spanish fluently and I have convenient hours to accommodate clients, who have a tight schedule. I accept most EAP and health insurance plans, and I have a sliding fee arrangement for clients with financial concerns.”

Helping Children Cope With Divorce

This group is designed to help children cope more effectively with divorce, help them to understand its significance in their lives, help them develop an understanding of the importance to express their feelings and how to do so appropriately, maintaining good relationships with both parents and continue to lead happy and fullfilling lives. This group utilizes the internationally-recognized Sandcastles approach. Sandcastles is regarded as one of the best programs for children of divorce and it has been featured on numerous prime time television shows. This mandatory 4-hour class is designed for separated and divorcing parents with minor children (under 18 years). Topics covered include how divorce affects men, women and children,custody arrangements, parenting during separation and after divorce, possible difficulties that may arise, and how to address them appropriately, abuse,domestic violence, among many others. Fatherhood Today

This group is designed specifically for today's father. This interactive forum, provides a safe environment in which fathers can feel free to address concerns that are unique to them. Fathers will find this group both informative and interesting. They will get the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings, as well as to interact with other fathers of various backgrounds, who can relate very well with the the many challenges, which they must confront today.
