I work well with clients (as couples, or individuals) who sense that their relationships could be much better. I can help you achieve clarity about your relationship's potential, provide a roadmap, and encouragement, for you to realize it. I help people who don't want to lose themselves in relationships, but -- rather -- find their best selves there. I approach my clients with the same kindness and compassion I would want if the situation were reversed. I also work with people who are going through, or have gone through, divorce, via weekend After Divorce workshops (Zoom based). I'm licensed in NY, MA, PA, NJ and NM.
I started by receiving my MSW from NYU; from there I became certified as a Relational Life Therapist and received my training directly from therapist Terry Real. My work is clear, focused and time-limited. I'm thrilled to be offering Relationship Boot Camp training (Essential Skills): See my website for the latest dates for weekend workshops.
I am a "child of divorce" myself. I am the father of four young adults and have been through marriage, divorce, and am in a beautiful remarriage. I know what works, what doesn't and what is vital. I am familiar with co-parenting and step-parenting predicaments. I believe relationships should thrive, not merely survive. Sometimes you need help getting there.

Love After Divorce
You can begin this work in the supportive company of two therapists who’ve been through this, themselves. Take a Saturday to be part of a group of men and women who are going through the same challenges/opportunities together. We will walk you through the hard parts. We’ll help you talk about things that others around you might not have wanted to hear. We’ll look at what was gained and lost. And we’ll look at your own communication styles and relationship skills. Divorce can be the great beginning of the rest of your life.
