My clients are adults looking for help with depression, anxiety and relationship issues. Some wish to have more freedom and joy, and less fear in life. I'm trained in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and Focusing approaches. I also use Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) which helps clients reach and articulate their helpful, deeper emotions (like healthy anger & grief), to transform unhelpful emotions (like fear & shame) carried over from the past.
For clients who have an interest, I integrate an approach called Bioenergetic Analysis to help them become aware of and access more of their healthy energy and feeling in a visceral and enlivening way. My clients often tell me they feel safe and understood as we work together.
I believe real work can get done in therapy. It is not easy, but with time and effort, people can make positive changes. Beside seeing clients on a one-to-one basis, I have been doing qualitative research consulting for many years, and have conducted therapy training and seminars in the UK, US and Brazil.
