Trans/Nbi/Gnc Group for Parents & Expecting Parent
Trans, Non-binary, and Gender Non Conforming people face unique challenges in conceiving and raising children in our heteronormative, cisnormative, society. This group will foster community and provide therapeutic and cathartic support. We will share our individual experiences, offer resources, and create an empathetic environment for all attendees to be witnessed and validated. This 12-week group will be facilitated by Merle Maynard (they/them). Merle is, non-binary, queer, and carrying a child. Merle is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, with a history and passion for serving their communities at the intersections of Gender, Sexuality, Neurodivergence, CNM/Polyamory.

The prolonged grief that comes from watching a loved one battle chronic illness is a unique struggle and often exists without many spaces to talk about it. This group is meant to hold space for those who have recently lost or are experiencinq anticipatory loss of a loved one with a chronic illness. Join our support group where we will discuss the unique challenges and joys of embodying our queer identities in adulthood. Through facilitated discussion we will delve into topics like: • Dating as a Newly Queer Person: Discussing the joys and challenges of dating, including the nervousness that may accompany first experiences • Talking to Family and Friends: Sharing strategies and experiences for coming out to loved ones, managing expectations, and fostering understanding and acceptance • Questioning Your Identity: Addressing feelings of self-doubt and imposter syndrome in this new era
