I am committed to supporting people as they access the strength within to deal with life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, anger and difficult relationships. More and more I see people who are also dealing with stress in their work and family lives. With experience in ministry and counseling, I hope to bring a unique perspective to the therapy I do with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. If you find yourself seeking balance, meaning or direction in your life, finding the needed support is essential. My goal is to encourage clients to develop insight and meaning into their own emotional reactions, facilitating healthy changes.
Depression and stress, often brought on by personal and work issues, can impact feelings, thought patterns, job performance and family relationships. I incorporate relaxation, mindful meditation and communication skills into therapy. Talk therapy and daily routines that include exercise, healthy eating and sufficient sleep are imperative to healing and maintaining physical and mental health.
I believe clients need to be actively involved in the planning of their therapy. I am committed to working with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. The importance of effective communication, the development of life skills and support through difficult times is a focus of my work with clients.
