At the Family Counseling Center we believe each person is unique and offer individualized treatment at our centers. Our therapists employ evidenced-based techniques to explore your values, aid you in goal achievement and increase psychological health. The therapists and I have formal and ongoing training in marriage and family therapy and behavioral psychology. Through collaboration, the therapy experience can create change that positively impacts all areas of your life. The Family Counseling Center has four locations; Joliet, New Lenox, Naperville and Homewood.

In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I have over 15 years experience. My interests include children, adolescents, families,developmental disabilities, mental illness, and counselor supervision. The clinic managers and therapists attend weekly trainings and supervision to service a broad spectrum of mental health concerns.

SESSION 1 The basics of behavior management: What motivates my child? What behaviors can I change? Increasing positive behaviors: Using contingency management to help your child finish his homework, complete his chores, and get along with others. SESSION 2 Create and refine your parenting plan. Develop a personal plan for increasing positive behaviors and troubleshooting undesired behaviors. Decreasing undesired behaviors: How to use time-out, privilege withdrawal, and other techniques with your child. We also offer therapy at this location.
