First Time Moms
While being a first time mom is a joyful experience, it can also be, at times, a bit daunting. After all, it is a life altering journey with many new and unexpected challenges along the way. As a parent-child specialist, I'm conducting an ongoing psychotherapy support group for first-time moms. Parenting The "Too-Empowered" Child
When your child ignores you or, even worse, rudely refuses a reasonable request, do you find yourself thinking "What have I done wrong?" In this child-centered world, kids are encouraged "to be seen and to be heard." That's a good thing. Still, the scenario of the "too-empowered" child has become commonplace and is challenging.
