*NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* Children and teens face the difficult challenge of expressing and modulating emotions in an adult-focused world. The expectations and pressure are sometimes overwhelming. Stress and distress also impact adults, especially during these unprecedented times. Utilizing client strengths, relationship themes, and self-regulation techniques, I help clients learn to cope effectively instead of suppressing feelings or self-medicating. Together, we can identify problem thoughts and behaviors, how they were historically adaptive, why they are maladaptive now, and how to make positive changes for the future.
I work with older children, adolescents, adults, and families with a wide range of mental health concerns. My specialties include childhood, mood, and anxiety disorders, as well as supportive parenting. I have clinical experience in many levels of care (acute inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, day treatment, school-based, and outpatient).
Located at the bottom of Wilhelmina Rise in Kaimuki, my practice offers validated parking in a convenient area. My hours are M, T, W from 7:30am - 9:00pm. *Please note that I do not take breaks between sessions and cannot return non-urgent emails and calls during work hours. **Accepting new clients by PERSONAL REFERRAL ONLY and on a very limited basis.
