If you have experienced trauma of any kind, either as a child or as an adult, I have many years of experience helping people heal from trauma. I am a certified EMDR therapist and consultant and have found EMDR to be a very successful therapy for post-traumatic stress symptoms, relationship problems, anxiety, stress-related problems or depression.
In the past few years, I have been integrating my use of EMDR with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (Steven C. Hayes, Ph.D. who wrote Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life). These are powerful therapies to help you live the life that you want. Meditation teachers like Pema Chodron, have also influenced my work with her teachings on living in the present.
Over our lifetime we develop emotional and behavioral reaction patterns that are problematic. I will help you identify the "triggers" for these patterns so that you can develop new responses to life events, relationships, work, health issues and self care.
