“Is ongoing daily stress taking its toll at work or home? Does it feel like the most important people in your life can't hear what you want or won't take "no" for an answer? Let's work together to manage stress and take control of emotional reactions and behaviors. When we're angry, hurt, afraid, or nervous we often react in ways that can make an already difficult situation worse. Or, we just freeze and it gets even bigger! It often feels like the more critical the situation, the less effective we are! I can help.
I offer proven methods and teach skills to control reactions so they don't control you. Find peace in the face of adversity. Bring more laughter into your life. Skills include: managing distress; dealing with difficult situations; focusing on what "is" rather than what "should be"; taking charge of your emotions and behaviors.
This isn't about changing who you are; it's about learning new skills with support and guidance. You CAN learn to laugh and take charge of your life. Please contact me so we can begin to find a formula for the life you want to live.”

Every Wednesday at 7pm - 9pm
$50 - $60 per session
This group is designed for people who struggle with managing life's challenges and want to take control of the emotions, thoughts and behaviors that make their lives or relationships more difficult or intolerable. The DBT Skills groups offer individuals tools to decrease the reactivity or intensity of their emotions. By learning new skills to use in the moment, clients learn how to get through a bad situation without making it worse, improve problem solving, ask for what they want and say "No" effectively, in order to reduce their suffering and increase their happiness.
37 Auburn Avenue, Suite 7, Sierra Madre, California
Every Thursday at 7pm - 9pm
$50 - $60 per session
Our DBT for Adolescents program helps adolescents change the emotions they want to change and offers skills for making effective behavior choices. Its purpose is to help teenagers and their families better handle the challenging road to adulthood. Common symptoms and problem behaviors include: defiant reactions & refusals;depression, anxiety and agitation; relationship and communication problems; mood swings that are slow to return to "normal"; and high-risk behaviors (aggression, truancy, eating disorders, running away, self-harm, suicidal thoughts/actions, drug/alcohol abuse). Skills groups teach adolescents AND their parents new tools to balance acceptance and change within the family.
