I am dedicated to working with my clients to overcome their struggles with anxiety, depression, anger, mood shifts, negative experiences and traumas, self-doubts, relationship difficulties, and illnesses and injuries, as well as other problems. I work with individuals, couples, and families, focusing my work on adults and teenagers.
My approach combines careful listening and exploration to help me and my clients arrive at a clear understanding of their needs, problems, and strengths, and the use of a variety of approaches to help them achieve their goals. Understanding, self-management skills, and behavioral changes all contribute to change and growth.
With couples and families, I strive to maintain a balance that allows all to feel that they can express their feelings and concerns. I work to structure communication so that members can both speak and listen, resulting in the skills needed to address both positive and negative issues.
My 20+ years as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist have given me wide experience. For over 12 years, I have been using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to deal with traumatic experiences. This approach can also be very helpful for anxiety, anger, depression, and confidence and relationship issues.
