I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, working with adolescents, couples & families towards improving communication & enhancing relationships. Affair recovery is a specialty of mine. You can heal after infidelity. I have expertise in treating Anxiety Disorder and Depression, utilizing mostly Cognitive Behavioral Techniques. I help my clients to identify the way that their thinking (negative, flawed, irrational) is affecting the way they feel & behave. Changing one's thinking is the first step towards happiness.
Parenting effectiveness training is a focus of my practice. I specialize in treating families/individuals with special needs issues, such as ADD/ADHD & Anxiety/Panic Disorder. I help these families to strengthen all the relationships affected by special needs; marital, sibling & child/parent relationships. Attachment work is key.
My approach is tailored to whomever I am working with. I do not believe that therapy is a "one size fits all" process. I utilize many different techniques with my clients, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Multi-Generational Work, & Imago Therapy. The process is interactive, goal-oriented, & empathetic. I lead with compassion.
