“Tired of talk? Ready for change? Like self-help? Then it may be time to consult me for Rational-Emotive-Behavior Therapy. REBT allows us to identify and change the self-defeating thoughts that cause unwanted feelings and behaviors. Yes, we often are our own worst enemies--in how we needlessly disturb and limit ourselves--by our "automatic" irrational thinking. Thank goodness! This means that we can learn to undisturb and de-stress ourselves by applying REBT to our work, love and life problems. I am eager to share these powerful REBT tools with you so that you can help yourself to less stress and more happiness.

I am an Associate Fellow at the Albert Ellis Institute for REBT in New York City (www.albertellis.org) and am a nationally-certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (www.nacbt.org) with more than 30 years of clinical experience. My recipe for rational living includes embracing nature, reason and practicing REBT.

I invite you to breathe-relax and visit my website: www.thestressdoc.com to learn more about my services which include REBT for anxiety, depression, betrayal, anger; biofeedback for stress; CBT for sleep improvement; parent-child counseling; marriage & relationship rescue and reconciliation counseling with or without your partner's participation.”

RIP VAN WINKLE SLEEP & STRESS INSTITUTE is a recent addition to my counseling and psychotherapy services (LifePsycle Behavioral Health & Relationship Counseling) and reflects my interest in educating the community to the profound importance of sound sleep as key to health and well-being. Free seminars introduce participants to the principles of sleep hygiene and stimulus control, CBT for Insomnia, relaxation and stress reduction methods, cultural context of sleep, information on breathing-related sleep disorders. Hand-outs allow participants to monitor and address their own sleep problems, consult me for more intensive insomnia management, or be referred for medical sleep evaluation.
