I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who was trained at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Research. I am certified in cognitive therapy, a certified clinical CBT supervisor and a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (academyofct.org) where I also serve on their Board of Directors. I am also on the Steering Committee for the NJ-Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists whose mission is to educate local professionals on CBT.
I utilize an evidence based and effective approach that targets the negative thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that causes and maintains symptoms. I have advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, panic, chronic worry, health anxiety and insomina.
I work together with my patients to develop realistic and achievable goals and to teach skills to reach those goals in the shortest amount of time possible. I do this with a caring and respecful approach that takes into account each persons unique strengths and values.
