Dr. Rich Elmore is a Professor within the School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. He teaches doctoral coursework on Clinical Hypnosis, Marital & Sex Therapy, Consultation, EMDR and PTSD. In addition, he supervises clinical practicum and doctoral research projects of graduate students in the clinical psychology program at the University. Dr. Elmore has presented over sixty research papers with his students at annual meetings of the American Psychological Association and the Southeastern Psychological Association. He has been a workshop presenter for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis and Florida Psychological Association.
Dr. Elmore maintains a part-time private practice specializing in couple therapy to include pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, sex therapy, divorce counseling and divorce mediation. He is certified in clinical hypnosis, sex therapy and approved as a divorce mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida.
He is a member of the Emeritus Medical Staff, Department of Psychiatry at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. In 2004, Dr. Elmore was selected "Outstanding Psychologist of the Year" for his work with combat veterans by the Brevard/Indian River Chapter of the Florida Psychological Association.
