Ms. Katia Vorobieva

Marriage & Family Therapist , MFT

(415) 601-4274
Hello and welcome to my private practice. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process based on mutual trust and respect. Progress is made when there is honesty, comfort, motivation, awareness and committment, but these are not the prerequisites- you can develop them as you continue working. Therapy itself can be short (a few sessions) or long term, and in successful cases its positive impact lasts a lifetime. Since 1999 I've been offering warm and supportive environment to individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, loss, parenting issues, low self-esteem, substance use and eating disorders.
In individual psychotherapy I help people recover from anxiety, depression, trauma/ PTSD, loss, break ups/ divorces. In relationship counseling I help partners who come from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and age groups negotiate their differences and enrich their intimate relationships. I help families improve communication, establish new roles, reset boundaries.
I offer free brief initial consultation face-to-face or over the phone so do not hesitate to contact me with your questions.
