Dr. Eric Robert Mitchell

Psychologist , PhD

(215) 839-1218
I predominately specialize with autistic clients and their families, having authored the "The Autism and Asperger's Handbook: Putting It Together" which is available on iTunes/iBookstore. I also enjoy a variety of therapeutic and consulting opportunities, including working with schools, service providers, self-advocates, couples, families. I also enjoy connecting families with systems such as schools, community resources, services, and so on, facilitating family navigation through difficult times. I tend to specialize with families, children, and young adults affected by autism, although practice a wide array of interventions for many populations.
My approach to working with autism/Asperger's and those affected tends to come from a strengths-based perspective, emphasizing the abilities of individuals within a multi-systemic context, while recouping delays wherever possible. As a certified school psychologist and licensed clinical psychologist, I have a wide array of experience.
I also have a background in multicultural counseling, and have been active in research and training over the years. I also utilize technology in therapeutic interventions as well. I have extensive experience in administration, public speaking, training, consulting, supervision, program/grant development, feasibility studies, partnership-building, and so on.
