My approach to therapy is to build a safe environment for clients where we work to develop coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and insight to move toward emotional and behavioral health. I treat a variety of common issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, school problems, ADHD, and adjustment difficulties) as well as more complex ones, such as those resulting from trauma. I find that therapy is most effective when clients have the support of significant individuals (e.g., parents) and I welcome their inclusion in the treatment process.
I specialize in therapy for children through young adults (including college students) and their families that is driven by client strengths, needs, desires, developmental stage, and other personal factors such as culture. I use a variety of techniques to provide individualized treatment.
In addition to individual and family therapy, I provide parenting education for those seeking to manage both routine and difficult emotional and/or behavioral challenges with their children. Additionally, I received specialized training in parenting coordination and can provide support to families affected by divorce. I am also an LGBTQ+ ally.
