My aim is to help individuals and couples who are experiencing repetitive, entrenched patterns of problems or symptoms. These problems may appear in the realm of mood (emotions), behavior, or be physically lodged (psychosomatic). Disturbances such as these are often found to have their roots in templates formed earlier in life, but exert force upon present-day perceptions, emotions, cognitions, and interpersonal life. My role is to facilitate an in-depth understanding of the understructure of these mental and emotional constellations (usually out of awareness) which uphold and perpetuate the problems and patterns in need of modification or relief.
For over twenty-five years, I have maintained an expertise in the psychological treatment of individuals and couples with sexual problems and dysfunctions. The scope of my practice includes addictive or compulsive sexuality, treatment of victims of sexual abuse, and therapy for perpetrators of sexual abuse or other predatory impulses.
Venerated scientist Louis Pasteur reasoned: CHANCE FAVORS ONLY THE PREPARED MIND. My goal is to provide my clients lasting solutions for difficult problems and symptoms. Troubling patterns and difficult emotional states are viewed as subconsciously coded communication pressing to be decoded. If not properly addressed, such symptoms can only intensify.
